What to expect when the service launches
Before any private booking is offered, Direct Medicare will publish the approved examination scope, clinical suitability criteria, location, practitioner information, transparent fees, cancellation terms and reporting arrangements.

Pricing statusIndependent of NHS care
Paying privately does not change NHS referral priority or entitlement. NHS and private booking and records must be appropriately distinguished.

Publication of bookable private services depends on confirmation of the provider’s CQC registration position, applicable locations and regulated activities, clinical pathways, governance, staffing and patient-facing terms.
